Profiles
Claim a handle to get a shareable public profile at cursor.com/@yourhandle.
What is a public profile?
Your public profile is a single page that shows your Cursor identity. Once you claim a handle, anyone with the link can view it at cursor.com/@yourhandle.
A profile shows:
- Your name and profile picture from your Cursor account
- The date you joined Cursor
- Up to four links you add to anywhere you want
- Usage data that shows your Cursor activity over time
How do I claim my handle?
- Go to cursor.com/profile and sign in
- Enter the handle you want and confirm
Your handle can use lowercase letters, numbers, and single hyphens, and must be at least three characters long. Handles are unique and first come, first served. Some handles are reserved and can't be claimed.
Choose carefully. You can't change your handle after you claim it. When you claim a handle, your profile is set to public by default.
Cursor may change, remove, or reclaim any handle at its discretion. For example, we may do this if a handle matches a Cursor product or feature name, infringes someone's rights, impersonates another person or organization, violates our policies, or is used for abuse or other harmful activity. If we reclaim yours, we'll notify you when practical, and you will then have the opportunity to claim a new one.
How do I add my links?
Go to cursor.com/profile and add up to four links pointing anywhere you like, such as your X, GitHub, LinkedIn, or personal site. Links show on your public profile only when the public toggle is on.
Your name and profile picture come from your Cursor account, so update those in your account settings. Edits appear on your live profile the next time it loads.
How do I make my profile public or private?
When you claim a handle, your profile is set to public by default. To change this setting, you can use the Public profile toggle in your profile settings.
- On: anyone can view your profile at cursor.com/@yourhandle
- Off: your profile is private, and only you see it while signed in as the owner
You keep your handle either way. Turning the toggle off hides the page without releasing your handle.
Who can see my profile?
When your profile is public, anyone with the link can view it, including people who aren't signed in to Cursor. When it's private, only you can see it while signed in as the owner. Switching back to private stops your profile from being served publicly.
What usage data shows on my profile?
Your profile shows usage data that reflects your Cursor activity over time. This updates as you use Cursor.
What happens to my profile if I delete my account?
Deleting your Cursor account also deletes your public profile and frees your handle. See Delete your account for the full process.
