Change your email
Cursor accounts are tied to a single email address, and email addresses cannot be changed on existing accounts.
Can I switch my Cursor account to a different email?
There is no way to change the email on an existing account. As a workaround, you can create a new account with your preferred email.
- Cancel your subscription (if active) via cursor.com/dashboard > Manage Subscription > Cancel Subscription
- Wait for the billing period to end
- Delete your account at cursor.com/dashboard > Advanced Account Settings > Delete Account
- Create a new account at cursor.com using your preferred email
- Subscribe to your desired plan on the new account
What do I lose when I delete my account?
Deleting your account is permanent. You will lose:
- Chat history
- Settings and preferences
- Indexed codebases
Local project files on your computer are not affected.
