Shared transcripts

Share read-only copies of your AI conversations with teammates or the public via a link.

How do I share a conversation?

  1. Open the chat you want to share
  2. Click the Share icon in the chat header
  3. Choose Team (only signed-in team members) or Public (anyone with the link)
  4. Copy the share link

Public links follow the format cursor.com/s/abc123.

Who can view shared transcripts?

  • Team links: Only signed-in members of your team, accessible from the dashboard under Shared Transcripts
  • Public links: Anyone with the link, no sign-in required

Can I fork a shared transcript?

Yes. Recipients can click Fork to Cursor on any shared transcript to continue the conversation in their own editor.

What gets shared?

The full conversation history is shared, including code snippets, tool calls, and their results.

Before sharing, Cursor applies best-effort redaction for known secret patterns, such as common API key formats, tokens, and passwords. Redaction is not guaranteed and can miss secrets, especially custom values or values without recognizable prefixes.

Review transcripts before you share them. Do not share content that includes secrets you cannot expose.

Local files, authentication credentials, and your identity are not included.

How do I manage shared transcripts?

Go to cursor.com/dashboard and open the Shared Transcripts tab. From there you can change the visibility or delete a transcript. Team admins can delete any team member's transcripts.

Which plans support shared transcripts?

Shared transcripts are available on Teams and Enterprise plans only. They are not available on Individual or Pro plans.

  • Teams: Team and public links
  • Enterprise: Team links only (by default)

Shared transcripts are not available with "No Storage" Privacy Mode. There is a limit of 50 shares per day.
